See San Francisco is a mobile web app created to help sightseers find and share some of the most interesting and beautiful places in San Francisco.

The app was developed during “Last Call for Google I/O,” a series of different challenges with only 24 hours to complete your project. During the 10 days of challenges a total of 100 tickets to Google I/O, Google’s annual developer conference, were given to their top picks. See San Francisco was one of the 10 winners in the Maps/Geo category.

Implementing the maps and directions was no problem using the Google Maps JavaScript API, and as a bonus the data was stored using Google Fusion Tables.
