Google+ Importer for WordPress
Google+ Importer is the best way to import your Google+ activity into your WordPress site. The plugin fetches new activity hourly and imports them as regular posts. You can choose which author activity is assigned to, a category to place the posts in, and how you’d like to tag the post. If you’d like to manually approve or modify posts before they’re published, there’s an option to save them as drafts for easy editing and curation. There’s even an option to display a custom tag like “via Google+” at the end of your posts.
Advanced users will appreciate the option to use a custom post type and the ability to apply easy CSS styling to posts from Google+ using div.google-plus and to the “via Google+” tag using span.via-google-plus.
The plugin currently supports most types of activity on Google+, but if you run into something it doesn’t handle well just let me know.

Google Plus in WordPress integrieren…
Thanks for this great work. Send an article TB to you.
wishe all the best
Thomas
Thank you very much! This plugin helps me to keep the main focus at Google+ without leaving my blog neglected!
Nice project. One problem in my case. Imported posts disappeared from my stream in G+, they only show up in the posts section of my profile. Any hint?
Continued… Funny enough, a new comment will make the Posts to show up again in the Stream… It is like they get hidden somehow.
The plugin only has read-only access to the API, so it must just be a coincidence with something Google is doing. I’ve noticed some posts from my friends disappear in the same way, but they aren’t using the plugin.
OK.
They are all in the notifications area… weird…
Anyway, I am receiving comments, so even if I am not able to see them in the stream looks like my contacts do!
I will keep you postes
Hi, great plugin and very good work. In your screenshot I can see that Youtube videos are imported. In my case, that doesn’t work : http://goo.gl/JixsY vs. http://goo.gl/VkR09
Any idea ?
I see that there’s a now a video embedded, but I’m assuming that you manually added it on WordPress. It looks like there’s currently a bug with the Google+ API causing the problem, so hopefully they’ll take care of it soon.
Yes, I manually added it. Thank for the reply, I’ll wait for a fix from Google.
I just stumbled over your plugin in search of a replacement for the SharedItems plugin that I used before to share my Google Reader notes on my blog and it looks really good.
The one thing that is missing for me is a function to let me bundle updates from my profile into single posts from a larger timeframe, for instance weekly. Any chance this could be integrated?
Good idea! I can’t make any promises but I’ll definitely keep it in mind for future updates.
Hi! I’m absolutely amazed – your plugin works really smooth and transforms Google+-posts in good-looking wordpress-articles.
One question or suggestion: In the wp-dashboard I have the possibilty to choose the “Post-type”: “article” or “page”.
Would it be possible to add the post-types “aside”, “link”, “status” and “quote”, too? For this reason: My Google-postings are mainly more or less status-updates and don’t have a headline. If I would be able to define the format as “aside” or “quote” instead of “standard article” it would fit better.
Do you think, that would be possible? Or do you have a solution for this yet?
Thanks and best regards, Dorothee
Since you don’t want it to be just a standard article, I’d recommend using the Custom Post Type UI plugin to create a post type for Google+. Once a custom post type is created it will appear as an option in the plugin’s settings. Depending on your theme you may have to make some changes to get the new post type to show up.
Very good job ;-)
How can I change the rescan time to lower then 60 min?
Right now an hour is the shortest interval the WordPress plugin API’s scheduler allows.
This is great, thanks.
One thing I’d really like to see though, is an automatic link back to the Google+ post at the end of the WordPress post.
Really great plugin though. Simple. Just what I was looking for.
Great plugin. One thing I’d would like is the option for the hashtags to be imported as links to the google+ search. Just like the +tags are.
