Tonight I had a quick photoshoot with my friends’ band “The Escape Frame.” Here’s my pick of the bunch, but more will be posted on their MySpace.
Finally got around to my own layout

I finally have gotten around to my own layout. I’m working on consolidating my online presence into this as a central site. You’ll be able to view my photography, design work, blog, and more.
This isn’t the final version of the layout, just a quick build that I’ll be refining in the next few weeks.

Death in the Park’s MySpace

Well I’ve just about wrapped up the work for the Death in the Park album artwork, just a few little things are left to fix up. Everybody in the band is excited about it, and we’re all looking forward to the release so you can see the artwork and of course hear the album.
Because all that work is done, I’ve started work on their myspace. As of this blog entry, the new layout isn’t visible, but I can tell you it’s pretty cool. Check back in the next week or two and it should have the new layout.

If you didn’t already know: I’m doing the album art for the first album from Andy Jackson’s new project “Death in the Park” which will be out later this year. For now the only thing I can share with you are the photos from a quick shoot we did for their t-shirts, check them out here.

“Death in the Park” artwork

A few weeks ago my friend Andy Jackson (the frontman for the now split band “Hot Rod Circuit”) gave me a call to see if I was interested in shooting the album artwork for his new band “Death in the Park“. He told me the concept of what he wanted, and I loved the idea and said I could do it.
Well, the past week we’ve done some major shooting, and the outcome has been awesome! About a dozen people have helped us execute the idea wonderfully, and everyone who has seen the results has liked it so far. Today we finished putting everything in place, and only a little cleaning up remains. Unfortunately I’m not going to be posting any of the photos until the album is released later this year (I’ll keep you updated if any are released before then).
I love the photos and can’t wait for everyone to see! Seeing CD’s with my photography on them is going to be very cool.
switched to a new blog layout
Written on June 8, 2008 at 11:59 pm, by sutherland
I switched to a new blog layout today… but I’m not very happy with it, I just needed something that could handle wordpress widgets (added the flickr widget). Speaking of Flickr, I finally gave in and joined today… but only because I also joined socialthing, a very cool new site that integrates with facebook, twitter, pownce, vimeo, flickr, and soon more networks. It’s currently invite only, but with a little help from google I managed to find an invitation code!
Edit: switching back to the old layout until I can create my own…

Well here goes something.
I just launched my new site, Gumptown.com! It’s a local social news/event based site built to solve the question of “What do you wanna do?” I’m looking talented people who wanna volunteer to help out by writing articles and keeping the events up to date. If you’re interested in being an author for gumptown, let me know!
